This repository is the companion resource for the book 《Illustrated Skill: A Practical Guide to AI Efficiency》 (author: Bao Yu (https://github.com/JimLiu)). It collects content that couldn’t fit in the book or is better viewed online: the full appendix, the complete writing workflow Skills, chapter example code and data, and the Skills used to generate the book’s illustrations.

Due to their large size, the chapter illustrations and corresponding prompts have been moved to an archive branch: archive-chapters-illutrations/chapters-illutrations (https://github.com/JimLiu/Illustrated-Agent-Skills/tree/archive-chapters-illutrations/chapters-illutrations).

Section Descriptions

1. Full Appendix (附录.md)

An online-updatable version of the book’s appendix, containing four parts:

2. Chapter Illustrations and Prompts (Archive Branch)

This content is large and has been moved from main to the archive branch: archive-chapters-illutrations/chapters-illutrations (https://github.com/JimLiu/Illustrated-Agent-Skills/tree/archive-chapters-illutrations/chapters-illutrations).

The archive branch is still organized by chapter (from preface to chapter-07). Under each chapter directory:

• imgs/ — Final illustrations used in the book (.webp / .png)
• prompts/ — Corresponding generation prompts for each illustration, filenames matched to images
• bak/ — Alternative drafts or discarded versions for the same location (not all chapters)
• ref/ — Reference materials (not all chapters)

Prompt files start with comments noting the illustration’s position and layout type in the book, for easy reference. This section can also serve as a sample library for “how to write prompts”.

3. Writing Workflow Skill Templates (skill-templates/)

Simplified Skills introduced in Chapter 5, can be copied directly to your own Skills directory for use:
