Why Does This 2022 Anime Feel Like an AI Prophecy?

Has anyone here watched The Orbital Children? It came out in early 2022, before ChatGPT was released, and watching it now honestly feels like an AI prophecy. I mean, how could they have gotten so much of this right back then? The story revolves around Seven, an AI that becomes so intelligent that humans can no longer fully understand or control it. Society then introduces intelligence limiters to stop AI from ever reaching that level again. Without spoiling much, the series goes surprisingly deep into AGI/ASI, alignment, loss of control, and the idea that a superintelligence might see humanity and its future completely differently than we do. What blows my mind is the timeline: this happens around 2034. A few years ago that sounded like distant sci-fi. With how insanely fast AI is progressing now, another 8 years suddenly doesn’t sound unrealistic at all. I also find it crazy that this series hasn’t been brought up everywhere during the AI boom. Critics called it pretty mid, but right now parts of it feel like some 200 IQ shit that arrived a few years too early. Anyone else see the parallel?
