Compared to overseas markets, is the ecosystem for independent websites in China quite poor?
If so, what are the reasons?
When people search for a brand, they look for it on WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Taobao, etc., but rarely on Baidu.
Merchants also mostly rely on platforms and seldom build their own official websites.
I think Baidu itself being poor is one reason, but there must be deeper reasons.
