Is your own AI harness the future? I built my own (not selling it)

作者分享了自己用 Claude 拼装的私有 AI harness,整合了 OpenClaw、Hermes、t3code 等开源工具,支持多工作区记忆、网站监控、cron 任务以及 MCP 集成,可完全替换底层模型提供商而不失效。

I used all possible AI harness/tools as OpenClaw, Hermes, t3code for coding and each one that got out and kinda liked them, but everytime there were issues, so I decided we have AI, they “vibe code” those, and are open source, so why not build something that is actually for myself? It started just as something to run my businesses as I always had a few claude terminals opened for a different tasks, so it became quite annoying. What I did was simple: Gave Claude prompt simillar to that one - “Build me a personal AI system that I can run on my own tailscale network and open only myself, check Heartbeat from openclaw, memories from hermes and How to build proper chat usage with multiple claude accounts chat with high quality view, take that from t3 code, make it extensible and use react/shadcn for the ui and i’ll give you a github repo to save all memories and such” This was only the start, as I also added - website monitoring (DR), GSC keywords monitoring, and have like 50 cron jobs at least. It became a system that knows about my SaaS projects more about me, I even separated each into a different workspace with its own memories. I have a full different view for my Social Media Scheduling tool PostFast. It can do crazy amounts of things and I may not even need to hire anyone for a long time. The goal and point here is that those new open source tools are not bad! Don’t get me wrong, without them I wouldn’t have made this. The goal is to have your own AI inteligence, in which you can change the underlying provider and it’ll continue to work if the rug pull comes soon. It even has access to my PostFast MCP and schedules posts from the chat and all with all my memories and context, and also uses the API of my email SaaS SendHeron so I can fully automate it all. Don’t limit yourself, now with AI you can build your own custom tools. I have a second ”harness” that is entirely for coding that I can use from my phone/tablet on the run, that also runs the projects on a VPS, and has code-server installed, so its like you don’t even need laptop anymore. Am I the only one building for myself like that? I don’t even plan on selling that, its too tailored for me.

@NFTCPS: HarnessX is pretty interesting: an agent architecture that can modify itself. Previously, architectural changes relied entirely on manual tuning. When a new model came out, Anthropic removed the planning steps from Claude Code, and Manus refactored its agents five times in six months, each time simplifying. What to change and when to change it — all decided by humans.

HarnessX introduces a framework for self-evolving AI agent harnesses that treats the runtime harness as a first-class object, enabling automatic adaptation via trace-driven reinforcement learning. It achieves average gains of +14.5% across five benchmarks, with larger improvements for weaker models.
