HD satellite images are updated twice a day from NASA polar-orbiting satellitesAquaandTerra, using services fromGIBS, part ofEOSDIS.

Tropical system tracks are generated using the latest data fromNHC,JTWC,NRL, andIBTrACS.

Active fire incident data is compiled fromNIFC,CIFFC,CEMS,EFFIS,GDACS, and other officialsourcesworldwide.

The heat spots overlay shows points of very high temperature detected by satellite. Detections are updated daily, not live, with data from NASA LANCEFIRMS.
