Promoted to Chief AI Scientist at @Xaira_Thera today!
What we’ve been building: X-Cell, Xaira’s first virtual cell model. Not a perturbation predictor but a model meant to generalize to biology it’s never seen. New cell types, new disease contexts, new interventions. That distinction matters.
The bottleneck is never the model. It’s causal, diverse, experimentally grounded data. Huge congrats to Ci Chu on his promotion to Chief Discovery Officer as his team is what makes X-Cell real. And welcome to Ian McCaffery joining as SVP Translational Science from AbbVie.
