Also, note that despite having three years of data, many colleges may have changed names, majors may have been renamed, or new majors added, so there may not be accurate historical admission data. Muyang’s College Application System is now live!!

As a complete beginner with zero coding experience, I spent most of a day to build this little tool. It may have many flaws in various aspects, but finishing is always more important than perfection.

It includes a database of all colleges nationwide and is based on historical admission data from the past three years for each college and major across 31 provinces. By entering your score, it can automatically match colleges you could apply to, predict score cutoffs for comparison, recommend “reach–match–safety” options, and match your preferred majors — then let you download a recommended application plan with one click.

It’s already hosted on GitHub — feel free to give it a try. Any feedback is welcome, though to be honest I probably won’t optimize much based on it. My nephew said it’s quite useful, at least as a supplementary tool.

One more note: although the data covers the past three years, many colleges or majors may have been renamed, or new majors added, so accurate historical admission data may not be available. You should cross-check with authoritative sources.

Muyang (@yyyole): I’ve built a more comprehensive version!! Based on the latest official list of colleges from the Ministry of Education, covering 2,952 institutions. I’m currently completing the accurate admission data for each province, college, and major over the past three years. After that, I plan to add a prediction model for more accurate score cutoff forecasting. At the same time, it will recommend “reach–match–safety” options based on your college entrance exam score.

This should provide a fairly reliable reference and support.
