Summary
Introducing the open-source project Teachable Figures, which turns an AI Agent into an interactive course designer capable of generating 2D/3D educational scenes (such as Transformer attention mechanisms, mechanical structures, and human anatomy). It supports active learning through prediction, hands-on exploration, and observation, works in both Chinese and English, and can run offline.

I’m increasingly convinced that textbooks need to be redone with AI!
I’ve found another fantastic open-source project: Teachable Figures.
It turns an AI agent into an interactive lesson designer that can generate beautiful 2D and 3D educational scenes.
For example: See exactly how data flows through a Transformer’s attention mechanism. Adjust the parameters yourself to see why rockets can lift off. Take apart a gear system to understand how it transmits motion. Rotate a human anatomy model to explore its internal structures.
What’s most interesting is how well it aligns with the way we learn. It doesn’t just have you watch animations—it asks you to predict first, then experiment, observe the results, and finally understand the principles behind them.
It supports both Chinese and English and can even run offline.
We used to understand knowledge by reading textbooks. In the future, we might step directly into it.
Yi-Yi (@yiyibuilds): I open-sourced Teachable Figures, a skill for AI agents to create beautiful, interactive 2D and 3D lessons.

It started with something I wanted for my own learning.
I was studying AI model architectures and AI infrastructure. While reading
