Anyone Else Think about Chomsky? Being Full of Shit

Noam Chomsky. This guy. Guy who talked so good (and so much) he got his own -ism and -ists. Made a name for himself arguing that human language was the product of some inherent, Universal Grammar. Made a big point that language is a reflection of those rules, not statistical associations. Basically that language isn't learned. Some quotes: “Contrary to what people thought, language is not taught, not even learned.” 1992 — Interview with Naomi F. Chase, published by MIT, April 1. "It’s not doing it by statistical analysis, because the ape can do roughly the same probabilistic analysis.” 2012 — Interview with Yarden Katz, The Atlantic, November 1. Fast forward, it's now 2026. Your GPU can now talk to you. Its training data is just stuff on the internet + scanned books. It's training method is purely statistical. And it has better "grammar" than 99% of the population, along with an understanding of higher level maths good enough to move the field forward.
