He joined in 2018, and after a two\-year stint at Polygon, he rejoined*The Verge*in May 2025\. Amazon used to blast out dozens of products onstage at annual hardware events\. If this October is any indication, the company has wisely changed its strategy to put more focus on each new product with its own launch\. The latest round of launches focuses on Echo products, including speakers, smart displays, as well as a smart photo frame\. All products, save for the new[Echo Show 16](https://www.theverge.com/tech/1020286/amazon-echo-show-16-hands-on-price-screen-styles)\(which might be the most interesting of the bunch\), are available to buy today\. This includes the[Echo Dot](https://www.theverge.com/tech/1020241/amazon-echo-studio-home-camera-dot-smart-home-hub), the[Echo Studio with Home Camera](https://www.theverge.com/tech/1020241/amazon-echo-studio-home-camera-dot-smart-home-hub), the[Echo Time](https://www.theverge.com/tech/1020352/amazon-echo-time-smart-alarm-clock-hands-on), and the[Alexa Photo Frame](https://www.theverge.com/tech/1019626/amazon-alexa-plus-photo-digital-picture-frame-smart-speaker)\. There’s also an extra mic to better hear you around the house, plus Omnisense, a temperature\- and presence\-sensing tech, which can seamlessly control smart home devices\. [](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DMQ1QMVV?tag=theverge02-20)[](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DMQ1QMVV?tag=theverge02-20) $220 The latest Echo Studio simply adds a camera and Alexa Plus smarts into the mix\. After launch, Amazon will enable pairing with Fire TV devices to let your video calls show up on the big screen\. [](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GG1YNSPD?tag=theverge02-20)[](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GG1YNSPD?tag=theverge02-20) $200 While not Amazon’s first bedside alarm clock, this one’s focused on helping you sleep better, and it doesn’t have a camera\. It can detect your sleep stage via ultrasound and use smart alarms to ease you into the day, but only if you want it to\. [](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G7LPJC7G?tag=theverge02-20)[](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G7LPJC7G?tag=theverge02-20) $200 A 10\-inch anti\-glare touchscreen that comes in a few design options\.
