Remote Mac automation often starts with installing another agent on the machine you want to control.
mcp-remote-macos-use is an MCP server for builders who want an AI agent to operate a local or remote Mac through an MCP client.
It helps you control the macOS desktop by connecting through Screen Sharing and exposing screenshot, keyboard, pointer, and application actions as MCP tools.
Key features: • Screen capture – fetch a screenshot of the remote desktop. • Keyboard control – send text and key input to the Mac. • Pointer actions – move, click, double-click, scroll, and drag with coordinate scaling. • App launching – open or activate an application and return its process ID. • Docker setup – run the server from the published image with connection details supplied as environment variables.
It’s open-source (MIT license).
