What is the current status of OpenClaw + Claude CLI usage?

The official [docs](https://docs.openclaw.ai/providers/anthropic) say > Anthropic staff told us OpenClaw-style Claude CLI usage is allowed again, so OpenClaw treats Claude CLI reuse and claude -p usage as sanctioned unless Anthropic publishes a new policy.For long-lived gateway hosts, Anthropic API keys are still the clearest and most predictable production path. But [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/openclaw/comments/1sv7eud/claude_codecli_is_allowed_again_and_nobody_is/) post from a month ago references [this](https://x.com/steipete/status/2046685973233189375) tweet about it still being rejected, with other comments saying the docs needed to be updated. However, the docs still state that Anthropic staff told us that Claude CLI usage is okay as of may 25th, 2026. Additionally, I just tried it and was able to use it as a model on OpenClaw. However, I don't want to get my Claude account banned. Is it kosher? There's also the [recent update](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/15036540-use-the-claude-agent-sdk-with-your-claude-plan) concerning `claude -p` usage coming form a new credit bucket separate from your subscription, which seems to suggest that Anthropic is open to it, albeit via a different credit bucket.
