# Release 19 Source: [https://www.3gpp.org/specifications-technologies/releases/release-19](https://www.3gpp.org/specifications-technologies/releases/release-19) With the availability of fully implementable specifications at the end of December 2025, on\-schedule completion of 3GPP Rel\-19 has concluded work on the second 5G\-Advanced release\. Having successfully attained its ambitious goals, Release\-19 represents a balance of continuity and innovation, consolidating previous releases while setting the stage for future work\. 5G\-Advanced is set to remain the focus of Release\-20 work during 2026, addressing the immediate commercial needs of deployed 5G networks\. At the same time Rel\-20 will bring the first 6G studies on requirements, system architecture, security and on radio evolution to meet future use cases\. Prior to that, draft versions will be available\. ### About the ‘5G Advanced’ logo The official 5G\-Advanced logo, for use on 3GPP Reports and Specifications, will again appear on Release 19 deliverables\. The decision to adopt the new marker \(from Rel\-18\) was taken at the 3GPP Project Coordination Group \(PCG\#46\-e Meeting\) in April 2021\. The PCG has considered and approved the use of distinct 3GPP markers since the completion of early LTE work in 2008, to help distinguish new release capabilities and the services that they bring\. Whether ‘LTE’ or ‘5G’, these markers have allowed the broader industry to achieve some clarity in their conversations about which 3GPP system they are referring to in a variety of conversations with partners and customers, as well as within the 3GPP community\.
