Every time a domestic model updates, I go and try it out. One trend is becoming increasingly clear:

More users bring richer real-world data; engineering infrastructure is maturing; and although compute power remains tight, it actually forces teams to continuously optimize training, inference, and algorithm efficiency — rather than simply stacking more GPUs.

Moreover, the pricing advantage of domestic models is obvious: one side bills in dollars, the other in RMB — there’s no comparison.

While they’re still not quite ready to serve as full production-grade models, they’re more than capable for planning tasks.

The gap is narrowing.
