@xiaomovps: You can really max out Cloudflare's free AI infrastructure as an individual developer. Free tiers for models, APIs, storage, and gateway — and no credit card required to get started. 1、Workers AI | 10,000 Neurons per day
Summary
The article covers Cloudflare's free AI infrastructure for individual developers, including Workers AI, OpenAI-compatible APIs, AI Gateway, AI Search, and Workers/R2 — along with their free-tier limits and usage restrictions. It also notes that some newer models now require a payment method on file.

Cloudflare’s Free AI Infrastructure — Individual Developers Can Really Max It Out 🔥
Models, APIs, storage, gateways — the full stack comes with free quotas, and the best part is you don’t even need to link a credit card to get started.
1. Workers AI — 10,000 Neurons Per Day
Resets at 8 AM Beijing time daily. If you spend it all on a single model, glm-4.7-flash can generate around 270,000 output tokens. qwen3-30b-a3b gets you about 330,000. Flux image generation gives you roughly 170 images. Whisper transcription covers about 214 minutes. Once the free tier runs out, you’ll get an error for the rest of the day — no unexpected charges.
2. OpenAI-Compatible API
Supports chat/completions and embeddings. Anything that lets you change the base_url can theoretically connect. The LLM backend of XiaoZhi (小智) server can plug right in too.
3. AI Gateway — Dashboard, Caching, and Rate Limiting All Free
Route all model calls through a gateway layer to see your usage clearly. Duplicate requests can hit the cache to save quota.
4. AI Search — 5 Million Tokens Ingested Per Month, 10GB Storage
Comes with a built-in RAG knowledge base, but starting 11/1, anything beyond the quota will be charged. Don’t treat it as unlimited.
5. Workers & R2 — 100K Requests Per Day, 10GB Storage Per Month
Great for agent backends and file storage. R2 egress traffic is free.
A few things to watch out for: GLM-5.x, Kimi K2.6/2.7, and DeepSeek V4 now all require a linked payment method to call. The July hack of running GLM-5.2 for free no longer works. Direct connections from mainland China are also unstable — calling from an overseas server is much more reliable.
The flagship LLM tier has gone paid, but when it comes to supporting infrastructure, Cloudflare is still the most cost-effective place for individuals building AI applications.
Guess the title of “Cyber Great Philanthropist” is well-deserved 👍

@realchendahuang: Many people use AI to write Cloudflare projects and fail, not because of syntax. The real problem is: AI often treats Workers as Node.js, uses Binding as process.env, forgets await, abuses global variables to store request state, doesn't know static asset requests are free, and calls its own R2 via REST API from a Worker. I've compiled these pitfalls into the Cloudflare Playbook. I also wrote about how to connect Codex / Claude Code with Cloudflare Skill, MCP, and Wrangler. It's suitable as a manual for AI writing Cloudflare projects.

@VincentLogic: Just discovered a hidden 'freebie' entry on the OpenAI platform, giving away free API credits every day! The key points: GPT-5.5 gets 250K tokens free daily, mini models get 2.5M tokens free daily, high-tier accounts up to 10 million tokens daily...
Discovered a hidden entry for free API credits on the OpenAI platform, offering daily free tokens for GPT-5.5 and mini models, but users must agree to share data for model training.
@geekbb: Nice, nice. Using this project to combine free models from major tech companies and pool their quotas together. Don't underestimate the free quotas from these 16 LLM providers (totaling about 1.7 billion tokens per month). If used well, it can save a lot. I'll find time to tinker with it. https://github.com/ta…
