Someone made a TCM Agent Skill for Claude Code, structuring all 12 of Ni Haixia’s courses — lecture notes, formulas, acupoints, and 2,986 course screenshots, all searchable. Describe your symptoms in natural language, and the AI retrieves the corresponding classical formulas and acupoint protocols, and can even generate study plans and comparison tables. The interesting part about this project: AI agents are penetrating the most traditional fields of knowledge — and TCM is just the beginning. https://github.com/JuneYaooo/nihaixia… What unexpected AI application scenarios have you seen?

nihaixia
Organize Ni Haixia’s TCM courses into a searchable, traceable, safety-bounded Agent Skill.
Claude Code / Codex / OpenClaw Skill. Once installed, the agent allows you to search Ni Haixia’s course materials by symptoms, formulas, acupoints, course modules, lesson numbers, or board screenshots using natural language. It outputs learning-oriented syndrome differentiation summaries, formula/acupoint/herb comparisons, per-lesson review plans, and screenshot evidence indexes.

What It Can Do
- Plain language queries: Convert everyday expressions like “cold with aversion to cold”, “cold hands and feet”, “diarrhea”, “cannot sleep” into key differentiating questions from the courses.
- Multi-course search: Covers Shang Han Lun, Jin Gui Yao Lue, Zhong Jing Xin Fa, clinical cases, eight-principle syndrome differentiation, Fu Yang forums, Yi Jin Jing, Liang Dong interviews, Stanford lectures, Tian Ji, Huang Di Nei Jing, Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing, acupuncture courses, as well as lecture notes, Han Tang TCM, diagnostic logs, e-books, and audio collection indexes.
- Six-channel and formula-syndrome navigation: Organize core Shang Han Lun content by six channels, symptoms, formulas, and disease transmission logic.
- Acupoint and herb learning: Search acupuncture meridian points, point combination strategies, as well as herb properties, dosage forms, combinations, and single-herb clues from the Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing course.
- Per-lesson review: Organize topic maps, keywords, and suitable review questions by course module and lesson.
- Screenshot evidence: Indexed 2,986 screenshot evidence entries, corresponding images already compressed as WebP within the repository. Searchable by formula name, acupoint, lesson number, pathogenesis, numerology keywords, or time points.
- Safety boundaries: By default, used for course learning and TCM theory organization — not for personal diagnosis, prescriptions, or dosage guidance.
Suitable Scenarios
| Scenario | Suitability | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Studying Ni Haixia’s courses | Very suitable | Review via course modules, lessons, topics, and screenshot evidence. |

| Looking up acupuncture, meridians, acupoints | Very suitable | Search by acupoint, meridian, point combination scenarios, and practical screenshots. |
| Looking up herb properties or Nei Jing theory | Suitable | Enter Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing or Huang Di Nei Jing modules for course study and organization. |
| Asking in plain language | Very suitable | First converts to syndrome differentiation key points, then enters course terminology. |
| Finding board, PPT, or practice screenshots | Suitable | Use scripts/search_screenshots.py to search across screenshot evidence indexes. |
| Organizing study notes | Suitable | Generate Markdown that can be appended to references. |
| Real disease medication decisions | Not suitable | This skill does not provide personal diagnosis, prescriptions, dosage, or self-medication advice. |

Installation
Method 1: Let the AI install it
Give the following prompt to your AI assistant:
Install the nihaixia skill: https://github.com/JuneYaooo/nihaixia
The agent can clone the repository and install the directory into the corresponding skills folder.
Method 2: Manual installation
git clone [email protected]:JuneYaooo/nihaixia.git
cd nihaixia
bash install_as_skill.sh --target codex # Codex
# or
bash install_as_skill.sh --target claude # Claude Code
The script installs the skill into:
- Codex:
~/.codex/skills/nihaixia/ - Claude Code:
~/.claude/skills/nihaixia/ - OpenClaw:
~/skills/nihaixia/
After installation, restart the corresponding agent to reload the skill metadata.
Usage Examples
Using nihaixia, organize the differences between Taiyang Wind Strike and Taiyang Cold Damage.
Using nihaixia, look up the formula-syndrome differentiators for Gui Zhi Tang, Ma Huang Tang, and Ge Gen Tang.
Using nihaixia, explain in plain language: why do some people have a cold with aversion to cold and no sweating, while others have aversion to wind and sweating?
Using nihaixia, find board screenshot evidence related to Xiao Chai Hu Tang.
Using nihaixia, look up the course thread for chest bi, water qi, and phlegm-rheum in Jin Gui.
Using nihaixia, organize the Ren and Du meridians and commonly used emergency acupoints from the acupuncture course.
Using nihaixia, find board screenshot evidence related to Ming Gong and Si Hua in Tian Ji.
You can also run screenshot search directly from the command line:
python3 scripts/search_screenshots.py 小柴胡汤 加减
python3 scripts/search_screenshots.py 少阴 下利
python3 scripts/search_screenshots.py 天纪 命宫
python3 scripts/search_screenshots.py 针灸 足三里
Screenshot indexes prefer returning relative paths like
assets/screenshots/...within the repository. The Liang Dong interviews and Stanford lectures currently have no screenshot evidence included.
