@gengdaJ: The Doubao paid version actually isn't that useless, it's just that the value for money isn't great. Doubao’s paid version isn’t really that incapable—it’s just that the cost-performance ratio is indeed not great.
I asked it to research the top 100 most frequently mentioned AI products within the past month on Douyin videos. It was actually able to open its built-in browser, let me log in, and then batch search by category. The result was decent.
But the problem is, after just a small portion of my task, my quota was already exhausted… And the upgraded version is quite expensive too: 68 RMB (that’s 5x the free version), and 599 RMB (50x the free version). I can’t even imagine whether a 68 RMB top-up would be enough to finish my task.
Compared to Doubao’s paid version, Codex’s Pro membership costs $100 per month, but it refreshes every 5 hours and occasionally gives weekly quota resets. It feels much better to use.
However, Doubao has a huge user base, so plenty of Chinese business owners will still pay for it. After all, it does work, and combined with Doubao’s advertising budget, I don’t think the paying user growth will be low…

@vista8: Last night I casually tested Knowly developed by the @Ethan_Yang_AI team. Tried interpreting YouTube videos and arXiv papers – the results were stunning. Except for a rather limited free quota and slightly slow vector processing. In terms of both product interaction and interpretation quality, it's no less impressive than NotebookLM. With a Chrome extension that has only a few users but has already been selected by Google as a featured pick, its strength is evident. Official site in comments https://t.co/62NkT3pO4G

@laowangbabababa: This is absolutely incredible. Seriously, absolutely incredible. It can truly crawl anything, and it's blazing fast! Previously, I would ask Claude Code to search for something online, but the Twitter API costs money, web scraping requires subscriptions, and Bilibili and Xiaohongshu directly block you. @gkxspace: I spend two to three thousand on AI subscriptions every month, some for TTS, ASR, etc. The mainstream ones are expensive and their API protocols differ.
