I had the femtosecond laser surgery last March, and I went with a private clinic plus a renowned doctor—it cost about 16,000 yuan. The whole procedure probably took just a few minutes, and by the second day after, my vision had basically recovered to 5.0. But now I really regret not doing it sooner.

Over the past year and a half, aside from some slight ghosting in low-light conditions, I’ve had virtually no discomfort. But compared to the benefits of not wearing glasses, it’s just so much better—you can exercise anytime, go running, swimming, rock climbing, play ball sports, without worrying about glasses fogging up, and you can throw on sunglasses whenever you want.
