Obsidian’s latest update has finally solved the biggest headache I’ve had for years: a brand new community site is now live at https://community.obsidian.md. The entire plugin ecosystem has been completely overhauled. Over the past six years, the Obsidian community has produced more than 4,000 plugins and themes, with total downloads exceeding 120 million—but finding good ones felt like digging through a garbage dump. You never knew which plugin might steal your data, which author had abandoned their project, or that submitting a new plugin could take months for approval. Now everything has changed. Every plugin has a public security scorecard, every version update is automatically scanned for malicious code, and over 2,300 pending submissions were processed overnight. Developers get a one‑stop dashboard, and users get a true app‑store experience. Most importantly, this move is extremely forward‑looking: AI coding agents have already reduced the barrier to creating plugins to zero. From now on, dozens of new plugins will appear every day. Relying on manual review would have broken the entire ecosystem. Only automated continuous scanning can keep the speed while controlling risk. Previously, Obsidian was the best personal note‑taking tool. Now it’s becoming the most trustworthy productivity platform. Security scorecards, capability disclosures, and team management directly address all the concerns of enterprise customers. I strongly urge every Obsidian user to head to the new community site right now and check the security scores of the plugins you use most often. You’ll thank me later. And all plugin authors, claim your projects immediately—this will become your main battlefield for direct conversations with users! #Obsidian #笔记工具 #生产力
