Some friends who’ve installed Omarchy might still miss the Mac desktop. I’ve quickly set up a “macOS-like” desktop theme, and the result is quite convincing:
Theme: MacTahoe GTK theme + WhiteSur icon theme (purple color scheme) – the window rounded corners and bright tones faithfully recreate the look of macOS Tahoe
Fonts: SF Pro / SF Mono
Dock: Installed nwg-dock-hyprland to create a floating Dock. You can pin favorite app icons, and click them to launch applications.
“Mission Control” effect: With the hyprexpo plugin installed, pressing Super+E or swiping up with three fingers instantly turns all windows into thumbnail grids—just like Mission Control.
Everything is packaged into a single Omarchy theme bundle. Switching to another theme automatically restores the Dock, fonts, and window button positions without any conflicts.
It’s worth mentioning that the entire setup was done through configuration scripts—no system source code was modified, and you can switch back to the original theme anytime. This also showcases Omarchy’s fully customizable nature.
