Another day watching agentic Slack startups get wiped.
I’ve heard founders say, “Don’t worry, they won’t have time to focus on this niche.”
Wrong.
They have all the time in the world right now. Agents are doing the work while they’re waiting for results.
The question isn’t whether they can enter your niche. It’s whether they want to work on the boring problems everyone else ignores.
Turns out that’s where a lot of the opportunity lives.
Time to dust off my old list of boring ideas.
If you can explain an idea and someone instantly gets it in under 5 minutes, it’s probably not a boring problem.
Funny you mention that. Someone told me their demo failed today because Claude was down and they had no fallback.
Feels like there’s a whole category of boring opportunities hiding there. Do you have any ideas? haha
