There’s an English learning guide on GitHub with 44k stars. After reading it, I fell silent… It completely shatters traditional English learning methods and rebuilds them from scratch. The core idea is just one sentence: the way you learned English before was fundamentally wrong. The key approach boils down to four points: 1 Don’t memorize vocabulary 2 Don’t do practice tests 3 Use AI + scientific methods 4 Acquire it naturally, just like learning your mother tongue. Believe it or not, but this thinking really hits a nerve for many people. If you want to completely change the way you learn English, it’s worth a look: https://github.com/byoungd/English-level-up-tips… Including the tool referenced below, using these two together is perfect.

Background
Hello, friend. Welcome to the 离谱的英语学习指南 (https://github.com/byoungd/English-level-up-tips).
When your eyes meet these words, I sincerely hope this is not just a tough battle to conquer English, but a wonderful adventure that opens the door to wisdom. May these ink and paper become the strings that resonate between our minds, playing the sweet melody of language learning.
It all goes back to early July 2017, when the goddess W., who was preparing for the TOEFL, asked me a question: How can I learn English efficiently? While thinking about how to answer this, I recalled my experience of passing 26 courses in a single semester during my senior year (including 19 repeat courses and 7 current semester courses). Adding to that, I happened to score the top in my province (Jiangsu) in both English and Chinese in the college entrance exam (Jiangsu version). Maybe I barely qualify to offer some efficient learning tips as food for thought.
After sharing some study insights with her, I was amazed at how passionate she was about learning, yet I also noticed some less-than-ideal aspects in her study methods.
So I wrote a simple article introducing some of my scattered thoughts on learning English. A few days later, she told me she hoped I could organize these learning experiences and share them with more people in need.
Before this, I had no idea that so many students struggled so much with learning English.
They had never even thought: English, as a language, should be learned somewhat naturally, just like we naturally learned Chinese.
I sincerely hope everyone can love learning English. If you can’t, then try to discover the joy or benefit in it. Allow me to quote Steve Jobs (his original words were about work, but the sentiment is similar):
The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.
The same goes for love of learning.
In this guide, I will try my best to combine my subjective views with some scientific evidence to provide you with a detailed advanced English guide. I sincerely hope this guide can bring you a little bit of help.
