Okay this is wild.
MiniMax just dropped M3, and it might be the most capable open model for building right now.
I gave it one prompt and it planned a real project, wrote the code, caught its own mistakes, and kept going until it actually ran. Complex, multi-step work, done on its own.
Why it stands out: → 59% on SWE-Bench Pro and 66% on Terminal-Bench 2.1 → 83.5 on BrowseComp, ahead of Opus 4.7 at 79.3 → #1 open-source model on Artificial Analysis → 1M token context, so it holds your entire codebase
I ran it inside MiniMax Code, but M3 is doing the heavy lifting.
Most models lose the thread on long tasks. This one finishes the job.
We are not going back.
