🚨The game has changed! DeepSeek tore down the walls of the plugin marketplace!!! Last night DSH alpha.4 shipped an unassuming update: support for custom plugin index sources. In plain English: From now on, what plugins DSH can install is no longer limited to the official store — anyone can open their own plugin store 🏪 What's even more explosive is the speed— Less than 2 hours after the official release, someone had already migrated all 90 bots from the Grok Bot marketplace into DeepSeek overnight 🤯 Removing the AI flavor from drafts, critiquing startup ideas, reviewing pitch decks from an investor's perspective, website health checks… Ready-made AI employees from other ecosystems now run on DeepSeek. What does this mean? ✅ DeepSeek, with its cheap models, is starting to feed off other ecosystems ✅ Plugins are no longer locked to a platform — the best ones get listed ✅ Moving forward, we'll see more and more 'XX marketplace moved into DSH' I'm calling it: DSH's 'App Store moment' is here 🔥 ⚠️ A word of caution: these are community ports, unofficial, without a license, and still an alpha release. The bots can run commands and read/write files — don't let them touch your keys. 🚨 Game changed! DeepSeek just took down the walls of the plugin marketplace!!!

Last night, an overlooked update in DSH alpha.4: support for custom plugin index sources.

In plain terms: which plugins DSH can install is no longer determined solely by the official source — anyone can now open their own plugin store 🏪

Even more explosive is the speed: less than 2 hours after the official release, someone had migrated the entire Grok Bot marketplace — all 90 bots — into DeepSeek overnight 🤯

Cleaning up drafts to sound less AI, stress-testing startup ideas, reviewing pitch decks from an investor’s perspective, running site audits… AI employees that already exist elsewhere can now run on DeepSeek.

What does this mean?

✅ DeepSeek, with its cheap models, has started eating into other ecosystems ✅ Plugins are no longer locked in by the platform — the best implementation wins ✅ Going forward, we’ll only see more and more “XX marketplace ported into DSH”

I’m calling it: DSH’s “App Store moment” has arrived 🔥

⚠️ One calm note: these are community ports, unofficial, without licenses, and still an alpha release. Bots can execute commands and read/write files — don’t let them near your keys.

How to install (tested myself) 👇

1️⃣ Upgrade DSH to alpha.4 2️⃣ Web version → Plugins → click “More” next to Experimental Plugins → enable “Custom Plugin Marketplace” 3️⃣ Go to “Discover” → “Add Index Source” → paste: https://brokep.github.io/grok-bots-for-deepseek-harness/index.json 4️⃣ Search for the bot you want → Install → Enable it right away

I tried Imogen — it works right out of the box. There are 90 bots in the list in total.

DeepSeek Harness

English | 中文

DeepSeek Harness (dsh) is an open-source agent harness developed by DeepSeek AI (https://deepseek.com). It is built on an everything-is-a-plugin architecture and powered by Cordis (https://github.com/cordiverse/cordis), whose design is described in A Programming Paradigm for Spatiotemporal Composability (https://arxiv.org/abs/2608.25512).

Developer preview

DeepSeek Harness is in developer preview and iterating rapidly. THERE WILL BE COMPATIBILITY-BREAKING CHANGES. Review the safety notice before running the project.

Run

Run from npm

Install Node.js, then run:

npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web

The command starts the Web UI at http://127.0.0.1:3080 by default and opens it in the default browser for a local launch. An SSH launch only prints the host URL because the SSH client or editor owns the local forwarded address. Pass --no-open to run the server without opening a browser.

See Web UI guide.

Run from source

To run from a repository checkout:

git clone https://github.com/deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness.git
cd deepseek-harness
pnpm install
pnpm run build
pnpm dsh web

pnpm run build prepares the repository artifacts. pnpm dsh web uses those built artifacts without rebuilding.

Community and support

  • Submit feedback or bug reports through GitHub Discussions (https://github.com/deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness/discussions).
  • Add the dsh-plugin (https://github.com/topics/dsh-plugin) topic to your plugin repository for discoverability.
  • Join DeepSeek Harness Discord community.

Contributing

See CONTRIBUTING.md.

Development

Start with the development guide and architecture documentation.

pnpm run dev:web builds, serves, and rebuilds client bundles on source edits in one terminal, and make help lists the matching Make targets for Web and Desktop; the guide’s application commands section owns the full table.

For agents, follow AGENTS.md.
