Turns out you should never pay annually in the AI era. I broke that rule for the shockingly cheap Google AI Pro plan at the start of the year—only to watch Antigravity / gemini cli turn to garbage less than a month after I paid. Random bans everywhere, and the gemini pro family is getting stomped by claude / gpt. Now even nano banana is getting crushed by gpt image 2.
