To put it bluntly, it’s like packaging the entire historical data of Gaokao math into one database.
This project is called gaokaomath, and its features are straightforward:

1. Paper Inclusion Criteria
- General undergraduate institutions can participate in admissions
- All regular high school students may take the exam
- Not direct school admissions
- Spring Gaokao additional condition: difficulty level comparable to that year’s regular Gaokao
Accordingly, some years/provinces’ papers for junior college admissions, papers for independent or joint university admissions, and recent so-called Spring Gaokao papers from Shandong, Guangdong, Tianjin, Fujian, etc., are not included.
2. Missing Papers
- 1958: remaining regions
- 1977: it is uncertain if there were more regions with independently set papers
3. Disputed Content
- 2005: Hainan province is debated to have used National Paper 3
4. Regarding Alternate Papers (副题)
This repository does not include alternate papers (副题) , whether used or not. Notably, the unused alternate paper from 2003 is not included; the delayed-exam papers for Sichuan and 45 districts and cities in Gansu in 2008 are not alternate papers. Alternate papers are also called backup papers or 付题 (“付” is a simplified character for “副”).
