I want to share something with you all, and also ask for your help.
Our channel was recently demonetized by YouTube, with the stated reason being that the content involves “AI characters discussing sensitive topics.”
First, let me clarify the facts: from our very first episode to now, every single episode features me on camera and my own voice. We have never used any AI virtual presenters to host content. The only AI we’ve used was to generate static illustrations for demonstration purposes. I believe this is a misjudgment. I filed an appeal, but it was rejected. I feel truly helpless—I’ve spent 6 years carefully building this channel, and now, being misjudged, I can’t even find out what exactly went wrong, let alone find a real person to talk to about resolving this. After all this hard work, we’ve reached 264k followers, and I’m deeply grateful to every one of you who subscribed. But this platform has truly disheartened me. I may need to pause or slow down updates for a while.
I wanted to ask you all—if you know someone inside YouTube, or have any channel that can directly reach the official team, could you help make an introduction? I’d be really grateful.
If you have a way to reach out, feel free to email me directly at the address publicly listed on my channel’s homepage, or DM me on X. I’ll be keeping a close eye on both.
Capital Stories just released its latest episode—it was recorded a couple of days ago. Whether we can continue updating after this remains unknown for now, so please enjoy it while it’s here.
If you have any better solutions or know of other platforms where you’d be willing to support me, please leave a comment below.
