Google plans to send TPU chips into orbit next week to test how they handle radiation and heat.
I love that this is becoming an actual hardware experiment. Space-based AI still has to earn its place economically, but somebody has to test the hardware.
Do you expect orbital compute to become commercially competitive before 2030, or is that still wildly optimistic?
