/ Today we’re bringing Cua Driver to Linux: background computer-use for any agent. Hermes, Claude Code, Codex, or your own loop can drive real Linux desktop apps (X and Wayland in preview) through CLI or MCP while your desktop stays usable
/ Our team recorded a few Linux demos of what background computer-use looks like in practice:
/ True multi synthetic pointer support. Cua Driver drives several cursors dragging the word “Cua” across XFCE at the same time. Main window stays frontmost.
/ Background dev loop. Claude Code builds a calculator app, drives the calculator UI, QAs its own work. The agent terminal stayed frontmost the whole time
/ Wayland multi-window control, in preview. Cua Driver drives 16 cursors across 16 Wayland windows at the same time, each one moving independently.
/ Headless agent over SSH builds a working budget in a real Linux spreadsheet on a remote box with no GPU and no display attached
/ A lot of Linux work is trapped behind desktop apps internal GTK and Qt tools, Electron clients, back-office portals. You can install on Debian 12, Ubuntu 22.04, Rocky 9, and Fedora 41 - code is open-source for anyone to contribute other distros support and report issues
/ Linux Cua Driver is available today. Use it from Claude Code, Codex, or your own agent through MCP/CLI.
