1/ Paige and the team studied 27 robotics deployment companies.
Of which, 18 focus solely on deployment, and 13 were founded in 2024 or later.
This indicates that the opportunities entrepreneurs are seeing are changing: starting from the customer’s specific tasks, then assembling the hardware and models needed to complete the tasks, and continuously improving through real-world use.
One question worth paying attention to is: Could these companies also become places for robotics models to learn?
2/ They organized these 27 companies based on “where they are deployed” and “what specific things they build.”
Some companies develop both robot hardware and intelligent systems; others focus on enabling robots to truly enter on-site work, covering scenarios such as laundry, factory processes, and heavy machinery.

a16z’s breakdown is:
$50: Chips $20: Power $15: Networking $15: Cooling, buildings, and land
On the surface, the AI race is about models, but behind the scenes, what truly devours capital is the entire infrastructure supply chain.
