Mac requirements, Steam, and supported games.

Will it work on my Mac?GameToMac requires an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later), macOS 26 or later, and Rosetta. Intel Macs are not supported. Performance varies with your Mac, game settings, and the size of your match.

Do I need to own the game?Yes. Sign in with your own Steam account and purchase or use your existing copy of Age of Empires IV. GameToMac does not include the game or a Steam license.

Can I play online with my friends?Online battles with friends have been tested with the supported Age of Empires IV build. Steam manages your account and multiplayer features. Future game updates may require a corresponding GameToMac update.

Can I play other Windows games?Age of Empires IV is the first supported game. More games are planned, and each will be tested before being added. GameToMac is not currently a launcher for every Windows game.

How do updates work?GameToMac checks for new app versions automatically and asks before installing. Updates wait for your game and Steam session to close. Steam handles updates to the games themselves.

Where do I sign in to Steam?GameToMac opens Steam in its own window. Sign in there with your existing Steam account. You don’t need a separate GameToMac account.
