Where are all the new apps/websites/programs?

The public have had access to models for almost a year (Opus 4.5 was November 2025) that can rapidly speed up the process of software development. Of course there were capable models before that too but I’m just choosing that as a cut-off for discussion purposes. That said, where are all the new apps/programs/websites as a result of this? I’m a layperson but if I look at my phone or laptop, the apps and websites I use have been functionally unchanged for many years. Social media, web browsers, banking apps, fitness apps. The new versions of desktop or mobile OSs are incremental step changes as per usual. Of course I could find small things like an AI DJ in Spotify, or AI search in Google. Overall though I’m just not seeing anything notably different to the rate of progress I’ve seen over the last few years in terms of products that are shipped to the public. It doesn’t seem to gel with anecdotes on here or coders saying they are multiple times faster nowadays. Is this just something I’m missing because I’m not in the industry? I would say that at least in my industry (law) the LLMs have not massively increased productivity yet. Our internal tool (I’m not sure which model it is) is practically useless and hallucinations case law and references constantly. I understand coding is different however.
