However, she was also the first signature on the letter throwing the board under the bus, saying they had made a massive mistake. Because this whole thing begins and ends with her, it raises the question: did she simply not have the guts to go through with the coup, or did Sam have some sort of leverage against her? In another timeline, she became and stayed the CEO, and Ilya is still with the company. Neither of them would have left. The question is, why would she flip-flop? It's a very difficult position to be in saying, "Well my boss is Machavelli incarnate and cannot be trusted but also think about the shareholders!" Does anybody have any interesting scoop about the whole saga who can break it down for me? It'd be hugely appreciated.
