Search for “test” products on Little Red Book (Xiaohongshu), and you’ll find a bunch of items with tens of thousands of sales: city-matching tests, personality tests, perfume tests…

The logic is simple: after a user places an order, they receive a link to an app. They can use it directly by opening the link—no downloads, no accounts needed. Straightforward and easy.

Now, all these products can be built with vibe coding. It’s just a matter of time.

I recently came across a netizen’s product called “Restart Plan.” I initially thought it was a PWA (Progressive Web App), but upon checking the comments, I realized it was generated by Ant Lingguang.

PWA (Progressive Web App): A web app built with standard web technologies that mimics a native app experience, can be opened directly on the desktop, and requires no installation.

Lingguang can directly generate an app that can be shared with others via a link. Similar products include Kimi’s Ok Computer and Google’s AI Studio.

Do you know what this means? The barrier to creation in this era is staggeringly low.

In the past, to publish a website, you needed:

• Complete development, writing code manually
• Purchase a domain name
• Buy a server and deploy

If you wanted to publish on the App Store, it was even more complex:

• Purchase an Apple Developer Account
• Complete app development
• Submit to the Apple Store and wait for review (many apps get rejected at this step)
• Successfully launch

And this was just for publishing a free app—monetization wasn’t even involved.

Development wasn’t the hardest part; the subsequent steps were the most frustrating.

But now, what do you need to publish such an app?

• Open any product like Lingguang, Kimi, or AI Studio
• Tell the AI your app idea, wait for it to generate the product, and make minor adjustments based on the result
• Then you’re ready to publish

What about monetization?

• List a product on Little Red Book, and when someone orders, share the link

That’s it.

Development cost is nearly zero, distribution cost is nearly zero, and you can monetize immediately. A perfect application of the code leverage Naval talks about.

For an old programmer like me, what’s astonishing is how vibe coding is subtly changing things. The app publishing process is shorter, monetization is simpler, and even non-technical beginners can now earn money through vibe coding. AI can help you make money—it’s truly exciting.

Since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022, the number of apps on the App Store has skyrocketed.

Vibe coding is becoming easier, and app publishing is getting simpler.
