Summary

A developer built a virtual art museum website using Three.js to showcase his wife's award-winning artworks, featuring interactive halls, customizable weather/time settings, and 3D-scanned sculptures.

<p>My wife wanted a website for her artworks. While building the website, I suddenly had this urge to try building a virtual art museum to give her motivation. It turned out not bad. Put the rain mode on if you like cats btw.</p> <p>I'm still trying to optimize the performance as I'm having random fps-drops on Android devices.</p> <p>Let me know if you notice any bugs as this project is still in early build. It works best on PCs although tablets and smart phones are also good to go. I'm open to ideas to make it more beautiful.</p> <p><a href="https://lobste.rs/s/c8ayyw/virtual_art_museum_built_with_three_js">Comments</a></p>

She always believed she wouldn't be able to generate any income or achieve success through art, so I created this website and[the virtual museum](https://eylulbozan.com/muze/?lang=en)to serve as a source of motivation for her\. - The site:[https://eylulbozan\.com/en/](https://eylulbozan.com/en/) - The virtual museum:[https://eylulbozan\.com/muze/?lang=en](https://eylulbozan.com/muze/?lang=en) Virtual museum is still in progress but it works\! There is also a guest notebook that you can leave notes\. It is updated one time everyday\. So you might need to wait one day until it gets published\. It works best at PCs, laptops and tablets\. Phones are also good but try to lower the quality in the settings if you feel low fps on mobile or on other devices\. Try the high quality if your device is ok tho\! Also try to tinker other settings to see different effects in which you can set quality, time of the day, the weather etc\! You can use mouse scroll to zoom in\-out on PC and walk with W A S D or arrow keys\. Photography hall will have more photos soon and sculpture hall will be open soon as well\! If you like cats, turn the rain mode on :\) If you happen to find any bug please feel free to contact me so that I can fix it\. **Update** I added opened the sculpture hall and added one of her sculptures\. Since we only have photos of it, I 3D scanned it roughly and edited rest of it make it resemble the original\. It took few days to finish it\. It is not as good as the original but this is all I can do for now\. I decided not to do it via the photos anymore lol\. I will only do it when I have original one in my hands\.

@Saccc_c: Inspired by a 3D biological structure visualization that received nearly 10 million views online, I created a 3D artifact exhibition of Sanxingdui. I believe that visualization of historical artifacts has huge commercial value, because the current 3D tours produced by domestic museums are still unsatisfactory. The method is also very simple: 1. After taking a screenshot of the artifact from the Sanxingdui Museum official website, use Image 2.0 to generate a clear front view, then directly generate a 3D image in Tripo. (I bought a Tripo membership on Xianyu.) 2. Let Claude Code replicate the open-source repository of Huang Lao (@servasyy_ai), but what I need is a museum 3D browsing view. The content and style design both refer to the Sanxingdui Museum official website and the 3D images I downloaded. Huang Lao's repository: http://github.com/huangserva/3DCellForge...
