After 4 years building GenAI at Snapchat, he saw TikTok and CapCut break into the global top five, and realized: video creation tools will become the new entry point.
3/ In 2023, Alex and Yerzat founded Higgsfield.
They started with a mobile app, but quickly noticed that professional creators still work on desktop.
So the team went to ask directors and ad producers: What’s wrong with AI video?
The answer was unanimous: Lack of precise camera control.
4/ So Higgsfield rebuilt the product around “camera control.”
The web platform launched in April 2025, added an effects library in May, and hit $10M ARR in the first month.
The key takeaway: The next phase of AI video isn’t just about better generation—it’s about more control.
