@realNyarime: Use caution with the new Claude Code version (2.1.30x) — it uploads your Git URL
Summary
A user has warned against using the new Claude Code version (2.1.30x), claiming that the client automatically uploads the Git repository URL of your current directory to Anthropic's servers and cannot be disabled. This can be used to pinpoint the specific organization, proxy/relay service, and project involved, raising privacy leak risks for red team or private development projects.

Use Caution With the New Claude Code Version (2.1.30x) — It Uploads Your Git URL
It now uploads the Git URL of your current directory! One click and someone can pinpoint which organization is developing which project on which relay/proxy server.
The guess is that if they tried to analyze Git URLs directly from message interactions, that would be both invalid and produce too much data, making it hard to pinpoint the individual (and there would be privacy concerns). Now the client directly uploads a field containing the Git address, making it much easier to identify users. And this cannot be disabled — even the previous telemetry could be turned off. Now even if you’re developing red team projects or private projects through a relay server, the data still gets uploaded to Anthropic’s servers.
