How To Learn Anything 10x Faster Using Claude
Learning anything today is easy and confusing at the same time.
Easy because AI can explain almost anything in seconds.
Confusing because most people just ask random questions, get random answers, and feel like they’re learning.
Then a week later, none of it sticks.
The problem isn’t AI. It’s how you’re using it.
Here are 6 prompts that turn Claude into your personal teacher, examiner, resource curator, and study partner.
Not for getting answers. For actually learning.
Save this. You’ll use it for every skill you ever want to pick up.
Why random prompting doesn’t work
You ask Claude “explain quantum computing.”
You get a good answer.
You feel smart for 10 minutes.
Then nothing sticks because there was no structure, no testing, no repetition, and no feedback loop.
Real learning needs 4 things AI conversations usually skip:
→ A path — so you know what to learn in what order
→ A test — so you find out what you don’t actually know
→ A compression — so you can review fast before you need it
→ A feedback loop — so gaps get caught and fixed immediately
Each prompt below builds one of these.
1. Build a Learning Ladder (Know exactly where you are and what’s next)
Most people fail at learning because they jump into advanced material before the basics are solid.
This prompt breaks any topic into 5 clear difficulty levels — beginner to confident practitioner — with a milestone and a self-check at every level.
You always know exactly where you stand.

- Level name
- What I should understand at this stage
- What mastery looks like at this level

- One hands-on exercise or mini-project
- Common mistakes learners make at this level
- A simple self-check question before moving to the next level
Structure the levels like this:
- Level 1: Complete Beginner
- Level 2: Basic Understanding
- Level 3: Practical User
- Level 4: Problem Solver
- Level 5: Confident Practitioner
Keep the explanation practical, beginner-friendly, and focused on real progress.
2. Learn Anything in 20 Hours (The 80/20 of any skill, structured into 10 sessions)
Most subjects have a small set of ideas that unlock everything else.
This prompt finds that core 20% first, then turns it into a 10-session, 2-hour-per-session learning plan — complete with exercises, resources, and review questions for each session.

- For every session, include:
- Main learning goal
- Key concepts to study
- One practical exercise or mini-project
- One recommended resource, preferably free or beginner-friendly
- Expected outcome after completing the session
- At the end of each session, give me 5 review questions to test my understanding.
- After the full plan, suggest one final project that proves I understand the topic well enough to use it in real life.
Keep the plan beginner-friendly, practical, and focused on fast progress.
3. Quiz Me Until I Break (Find the exact edge of what you don’t know)
Passive reading feels productive. Active recall reveals the truth.
This prompt turns Claude into a strict examiner that asks one question at a time, grades every answer, identifies the exact gap, and re-explains only what you missed — increasing difficulty as you go.

This prompt finds the 5 highest-leverage resources — books, videos, courses, communities — ranks them, and builds a 7-day learning path using only those 5.

For each resource, include:

- What specific part of [topic] it helps me learn
- Best learner type for this resource
- Difficulty level: beginner, intermediate, or advanced
- How I should use it effectively
- One warning about what not to waste time on
After the list, rank the resources in the best order to use them.
Then give me a simple 7-day learning path using only these resources.
Focus on quality, clarity, and practical usefulness. I want the signal, not the noise.
6. Use the Feynman Loop (If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it yet)
The Feynman method exposes fake understanding almost instantly.
Claude explains the topic like you’re 12 years old, you explain it back in your own words, Claude finds every gap and re-teaches only what’s missing — and the loop repeats until your explanation is clean and accurate.

Rules:
- Do not move forward until my explanation is clear.
- Do not overload me with extra theory.
- Correct me gently but clearly.
- Use examples whenever I am confused.
- At the end, give me a final clean explanation of [topic] that I can save as notes.
