That additional intelligence matters a lot for high abstraction/complex tasks - complex planning, subtle race conditions, multi-threaded conversations, etc.

Most ‘complex tasks’ are actually combinations of simple tasks and are only complex because they don’t have systems to properly plan/triage/structure their work

With proper triaging/planning/systems almost all tasks that are done by premium models can be be done as reliably be this class of open LLMs - I can imagine as high as 99% but definitely at least 95%

If American labs are hamstringed by government regulation and overzealous internal enforcements, it’ll create extremely strong headwinds in favour of Chinese players.
