Less than 48 hours after Mika went open source, it has surpassed 2,000 stars on GitHub 🎉 Thank you to everyone who has supported us. Mika is an AI agent that runs on your phone. Just tell it what you need, and it operates apps, browses the web, and gets things done for you in a separate environment. If you can think it, you can do it! Here are just some of the things it can currently do: 1. Control any app: It can operate any app you use—send WeChat messages, browse Xiaohongshu, post on Twitter, watch ads to earn VIP access, play games to farm coins… 2. Get things done on the web: Search, extract content, fill out forms—anything you do on a webpage, it can do too. It mimics human interactions to greatly reduce the likelihood of triggering anti-abuse systems. 3. Floating capsule: Wherever you are, in any app, you can summon Mika whenever an idea strikes, have it analyze the current screen, or ask it to get things done for you. 4. It also includes a built-in Linus sandbox, so it can run scripts and process files for you. You can keep using your phone while it works, without getting in each other’s way. No root access or computer required. It runs entirely locally, using your existing apps and signed-in web sessions to get things done. Since the release, we’ve received feedback from so many people. In the group chat, on GitHub, and on Twitter, people are constantly taking the time to report issues and submit fixes. You’re the reason Mika keeps getting better. After 48 hours of development, we’ve added the following features, with more on the way: 1. Self-learning: It summarizes the apps and websites it operates and the tasks it completes into a knowledge base. Each attempt is faster and more reliable than the last—the more you use it, the better it gets. 2. MCP support: Agents on your computer can now call Mika to get things done for you. It can easily wake your phone even when the screen is locked. If you can think it, you can do it. 3. More knowledge: With the built-in app.md and site.md knowledge files, Mika can get things done faster on the relevant websites. More content is being added. Human-like interactions, interruptions while it’s working, authorized sign-in, multilingual support, compatibility with more phone models… Let’s keep making Mika better together. Whether you’re a developer or a user, you’re welcome to join us. If you encounter a problem, open an issue. If you have an idea, submit a PR. Let’s build a great AI assistant for phones together.
