Anthropic Offers 6 Months of Claude Max 20x Free to Open Source Contributors
February 27, 2026 — Selected recipients will receive six months of Claude Max 20x access, as a thank-you for being the cornerstone of the ecosystem.
Eligible maintainers must be core team members of a repository with over 5,000 stars or one million monthly downloads.
5,000 stars is still a pretty high bar to clear.
