Openclaw as sys admin

Reddit r/openclaw Tools

Summary

The author describes using Openclaw as a system administrator on Linux servers, leveraging a local Qwen 3.6 27b model for security audits, updates, and deploying kiosk mode tasks without external internet access.

Openclaw is running as full sys admin maintaining my linux servers and doing security audits and updates. Running on mainrig with local llm Qwen 3.6 27b q6. No external internet connection beside tailscale. I connect via phone or laptop when I am offsite. I am in awe of how capable it is as sys admin with routine security audits. I gave it a task to turn one screen into Kiosk mode for server status and geopolitical news and weather for a couple of locations. It made the project with some revision changes then deployed it to the computer it was supposed to run on. It is very capable. Finding new use cases daily.
