A multinational controlled study presented at the EADV Congress 2026 found that GLP-1 weight loss and diabetes drugs (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound) are associated with a significantly higher rate of nail detachment and discoloration, with weight loss alone not fully explaining the effect.
