TechCrunch reports on a rumor that Anthropic is acquiring robotics startup Physical Intelligence, a deal that would signal the importance of physical world understanding for AI superintelligence. The rumor was denied by Physical Intelligence's CEO but acquisition talks had occurred earlier this year.
