This paper introduces MoralAltDataset, a dataset of 307 moral dilemmas with compromise and reframed alternatives, and evaluates 15 LLMs on their ability to generate moral alternatives beyond binary choices, finding that compromise alternatives are often preferred and LLM-generated alternatives can meet human standards.
