Elastic lays off 7% of its workforce as part of a reorganization to adapt to advances in AI and automation, aiming to operate leaner and invest in key growth areas.

Enterprise software company Elastic has agreed to acquire AI startup Deductive AI for up to $85 million. Deductive, which uses AI to automatically catch and resolve software bugs, will enhance Elastic's observability platform with agentic AI capabilities.
