The author built a drone driven by a single motor, using hinged propeller blades to achieve pitch and yaw control. Getting it to fly successfully required substantial software and testing work, including custom firmware, an infrared lighthouse, and a homemade strobe imaging system. It is currently known to be the smallest and fastest-spinning hinged-blade drone capable of flight, with the code and 3D files open-sourced.
With zero commands and zero model costs, the author used DSH (DeepSeek Harness) along with the free DeepSeek V4.1 Flash model to flash a ¥128 Lichuang ESP32-S3 dev board into a XiaoZhi AI speaker. The entire process — looking up the docs, verifying, and flashing the firmware — was handled automatically by the Agent.
