Beijing is reportedly considering measures to restrict foreign access to China's top AI models, according to Reuters.
Reuters reports that Chinese regulators have met with leading companies including ByteDance, Alibaba, and Zhipu AI to discuss possibly restricting overseas access to China's most advanced AI models (including unreleased ones), and may introduce new measures to limit foreign investment in Chinese AI startups.
