An injured southern ground hornbill at Artis Zoo in Amsterdam successfully received the world's first 3D-printed prostheses for both the upper and lower parts of its beak, crafted from titanium using CT scans. The collaboration between Artis, Utrecht University, UMC Utrecht, and Amnovis could open new possibilities in veterinary medicine.
