AI video editing agents are shifting AI from generation to execution

Most generative AI video tools focus on creating new footage from prompts. A different approach is emerging where AI works with footage that already exists and performs parts of the editing workflow instead of generating the content itself. An AI video editing agent can potentially interpret instructions, identify useful sections, remove unnecessary footage, add captions, and prepare different versions of the same video.
